Picture House education residencies integrate filmmaking classes into the programs and curricula of schools, camps, or community centers. These customized residencies can vary in format from a 1-day workshop to an 8-day program or a semester-long enrichment offering. We cover a wide range of filmmaking skills in these classes, but always emphasize creativity, film literacy and collaboration. Learning how to work as a team toward realizing a creative vision is not only fun and exciting, the lessons learned are invaluable to the growth and future success of our students throughout their education and beyond. Please contact our Director of Education at firstname.lastname@example.org to get started!

CUSTOMIZED FILM STUDY AT THE PICTURE HOUSE – For All Grade Levels Film study workshops at The Picture House allow students to experience our unique access to children’s national and international short films and join in an activity, project or discussion following a screening. These workshops can be customized to coincide with specific units of study within the classroom and can be one-day workshops or a series of weekly classes. Our instructors work with classroom teachers to come up with the best fit for their needs.
