Follow the yellow brick road to the red carpet this summer to bring the Wizard of Oz to life on screen. In celebration of the Pelham Public Library’s “Pelham Reads” program, The Picture House will provide students with the opportunity to star in their own version of this timeless classic. Children in grades 3-5 will take on the leading roles, while kids in grades K-2 will fill out the supporting cast. These groups will work separately and together to prepare selected scenes throughout the week. The camp culminates with a full camp day on set, as cinematographers capture the student’s work on film. The finished film will receive its red carpet debut on November 3rd as part of the Pelham Reads the Wizard of Oz Film Festival on the big screen at The Picture House.
