The Picture House of Horror Movie Making Workshops for High School Students

Learn about narrative filmmaking from one of our professional instructors and make your own scary movie in just two short workshops. Student filmmakers and actors will come together in our Satellite Film Lab on two Saturdays in October to brainstorm, write, film, and edit an original short horror film. Using our professional film equipment, footage will be shot in and around Pelham within walking distance of the lab, and edited by students (with professional guidance) to create a finished film by the end of the second workshop. The finished film will receive it’s big screen debut before our annual screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show will be eligible to be entered into the Future Filmmakers Film Festival hosted by The Picture House in April.
